Stormwall: WIP #1
Having acquired a Stormwall at Lock & Load, getting it assembled, painted and on the table has been my top Warmachine priority. Unfortunately a week of traveling interrupted early progress, but I’m rolling along now.

Wow, what a great time that was. I was successful in all of my goals: I attended lots of seminars, won a coin in the P3 painting competition, played a few games and met the guys from HCO.
My first morning was spent queuing for over an hour in order to purchase a Stormwall. I also picked up a Nemo3 and some more faction patches. Then of course I needed BattleFoam for my colossal and some half trays to fill out the room left from the Stormwall foam. Getting my suitcase packed with all of this proved to be a real challenge. (more…)
I returned from Lock and Load 2012 last night, tired but happy and triumphant. My P3 Painting Competition entry won a bronze in the single miniature category. I’ll post a bigger recap of my time at the convention later, but for now, here are some pics of my bronze winning entry:
I leave tomorrow morning for Seattle to attend Lock & Load. I’ve signed up to attend a lot of seminars, everything from painting to sculpting to history of the IK. I didn’t sign up for any of the tournaments, as I get to play so infrequently that it wouldn’t be worth while at this point. I do hope to take in some open gaming in the Iron Arena.
I’m also looking forward to meeting the Hand Cannon Online staff, many of whom will also be in attendance. My main goal, aside from learning lots about the hobby side, is to bring home a Stormwall. If I manage to acquire one it will be top priority when I return to get it assembled and painted.
Lastly, I will be entering the P3 painting competition. I hope to bring home an award, but I don’t know what the chances of that are. At least entering once I’ll have some way to judge what is needed for future participation.
