Gorman Di “Sea” Wulfe
And here’s the completed PG-exclusive “Sea” Wulfe. It’s been finished for a while, but I needed PG_oxyguy to see it first in person. With delivery complete, here’s a couple of pics that don’t really do it justice.
From the front you can see the purple is kept minimal, an accent color to the black of the coat, face, overcame and boot. The white interior cape really pops the front of the model with all its dark colors. For the alchemical bombs I chose a nice bright green to help them stand out against the rest of the model. A little freehand gold trim on the hat also helped keep it interesting. For the base I went with very dark wood to give a wet, aged ship-deck feeling. I also kept some gloss varnish on it to keep it from looking too dry or dull.
Purple dominates the back of the figure, with gold edging to the cape. Gorman is typically known for his all-black attire, so with the purple I wanted to keep it dark, so I shaded down to nearly black from Beaten Purple and only applied one highlight of Beaten Purple/Arcane Blue to a couple of the more prominence areas. The over cape is black, highlighted up with some blues to add some depth. The shoulder armor is also purple with gold underneath to tie in the top cloak a bit more.
This was a lot of fun to paint, I especially had fun with the purple which shaded beautifully and easily.
